Pastor’s Update 5/13/2020

Greetings, Grace Family!

“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”  (Heb. 10:24-25)

Strength for Christian living doesn’t just occur automatically. One of the elements that builds it is gathering with other believers in corporate worship to the Lord, inspiring one another with the truth. This Biblical mandate speaks forcefully of the tremendous impact our physical presence has on one another.

We Praise the Lord! that the “Pharaohs” of many of our state governments are “letting His people go” to worship (Exodus 5)! This is not without restrictions, though. Nonetheless, with great joy

Grace Fellowship at South Park will hold an outdoor worship service on the front lawn of the church THIS COMING SUNDAY,  May 17th, at 10:30 a.m.   (Weather Permitting)

We will still need to continue to practice social distancing. Please, come ONLY if your health situation allows you to; otherwise, remain safely at home, watching us on the church website. We are asking everyone to bring a lawn chair and your own beverage, if you would like. We will have some folding chairs available, if needed. It’ll be a simple service with Mark Tanner leading us in song and ending with a message from your Pastor.

The safest place in a storm is in the eye of it. It is essential in the life of a Christian to gather in worship and praise; this is when God takes over and fights our battles (2 Chronicles 20). Worship is our pledge of allegiance, declaring we are citizens of Heaven. Our first loyalty is to our Jehovah God.

“O, come, let us sing and worship the Lord.” (Psalm 95:1)

It is with great anticipation that I send you this announcement and look forward to BEING WITH YOU Sunday!

Pastor John
